You-Pick Flowers
Spring and summer at the farm have very different looks.
Spring (May) is softer and more airy, with blooming larkspur, greenery, mountain views, and curated pockets of flowers rather than the full immersive flower field seen later in summer.
The fuller summer flower field with zinnias, cosmos, celosia, and other summer blooms typically begins in early to mid-July and continues into early fall. The field closes in early October. The majority of the photos seen on our social media pages are taken in summer.
No, the farm is open only during scheduled You-Pick events, photography sessions, workshops, and other posted openings.
Because Kate Day Blooms is a working flower farm, we are not open for casual drop-in visits outside of scheduled hours. Please check the calendar at the bottom of the home page, our newsletter, or social media for current opening dates and times.
Flower picking for small bouquets is available only during scheduled You-Pick events. Larger bucket orders may be available by advance arrangement depending on flower availability and farm schedule.
Limited DIY bulk flower buckets for parties, showers, or small events may be available depending on flower supply and seasonal availability.
Bulk buckets are intended for customers who would like to harvest their own flowers directly from the field and are available by appointment only.
Current bulk bucket pricing:
• 2-gallon bucket: $60
• 3-gallon bucket: $90
Availability varies throughout the season and may be limited during photography dates or lower-bloom periods.
If you are looking for a larger quantity of flowers or specific colors or varieties, feel free to email us to check current availability.
No. Bloom timing changes throughout the season and is heavily affected by weather and planting schedules. Not all flower varieties bloom at the same time.
Spring and summer at the farm have very different looks, with some flowers blooming only for short seasonal windows.
We will open in early May for spring blooms. We will close in June as we transition from spring flowers to summer flowers. We open again in early/mid July through early October for summer flower season.
If you’re interested in bringing a larger group, hosting a photography gathering, or planning a private flower-focused visit, please email us in advance to discuss availability and current farm policies.
Because Kate Day Blooms is a working agritourism flower farm rather than a traditional event venue, large gatherings and venue-style events may be limited.
Simple blankets and casual picnics during you-pick visits are welcome. Photographers who've booked private sessions may bring props.
To protect the flower field and preserve the farm’s simple agritourism setting, large setups, seating installations, arches, receptions, and venue-style event decor are not permitted.
The best way to reach Kate Day Blooms is by email to kate@katedayblooms.com, website form, or social media message.
Because the farm is a small working flower farm, responses may not always be immediate during busy growing and harvesting days, but messages are checked regularly.
